AEW Dynamite #33 – Jacksonville, Florida – Daily’s Place – May 20, 2020

The show opened with the Inner Circle getting out of a really big limo and bragging that of course they’d ride fancy, as they were the Inner Circle. Then Chris Jericho said that what they did to Vanguard 1 was nothing compared to what they were going to do to the Elite.

Mr. Brodie came out with members of the Dark Order and had 10 take a knee. He talked about how even though people thought he couldn’t relate to them, he was just a man like everyone else.

Jon Moxley defeated 10 with a Paradigm Shift.

After the match, Moxley got some chairs and threatened to break 10’s arm unless Brodie Lee came out. Lee appeared on the screen and said he was leaving. After shutting 10’s arm in a chair, Moxley slammed another chair onto it and left.

MJF defeated Marko Stunt with Salt of the Earth.

Wardlow choked Stunt against a rope when the ref was distracted and held Stunt up after the match so MJF could punch him with the ring. Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy ran in to help him.

Arn Anderson and Jake “the snake” Roberts had a discussion about the upcoming match between Cody and Lance Archer. Jake threw the table and a bunch of referees came in before they could start fighting.

Darby Allin showed us a video of him going all in for the Casino Ladder Match.

The Bastard Pac cut a promo saying he won’t be forced to sit at home doing nothing and sent Rey Fenix to assassinate Orange Cassidy.

Rey Fenix defeated Orange Cassidy with a roll-up.

Orange Cassidy was doing great until Kip Sabian came out and sat on a ladder, distracting Orange Cassidy to give Fenix the win. Then SCU shoved Sabian off the ladder and some more guys from the Casino Ladder Match came and had a brawl.

Nyla Rose and Dr. Britt Baker defeated Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida with a Beast Bomb.

After the match, Nyla tried to put Shida through a table but Statlander made the save. Shida got some time to recover and superplexed Rose through the table instead.

Jon Moxley said in an interview with Alex Marvez that things would only get worse from here and that he would put Brodie Lee to sleep at Double or Nothing.

Shawn Spears cut a promo as the anchor of Shawn Spears Network (SSN) and reported that after his match with Lance Archer, Dustin Rhodes retired. Then he challenged Dustin to a match at Double or Nothing.

Matt Hardy defeated Sammy Guevara with a Twist of Fate.

The Young Bucks saved Kenny Omega after the Inner Circle tied him to a ringpost in the Daily’s Place football stadium. Matt Hardy ran in and then just disappeared for most of the brawl and Hangman Adam Page ran across the entire field to join in too.
